Andy Pardoe - Lead Driver Coach - UK


Andy Pardoe has the been the lead driver coach for all of the past 5 seasons of Formula Gulf. He is one of the most respected driver coaches worldwide and has been training junior drivers for many years. Before his work with Formula Gulf Andy did seven seasons with the BMW Asia (Pacific) Championship, engineering and driver coaching young drivers. During that time the drivers he was responsible for were crowned champion and vice champion on numerous occasion. Andy has also coached winning drivers in Euro F3, Formula Renault and Toyota Racing Series (NZ). His connection with the Gulf region is strong, having worked in Bahrain with the BMW school, with GulfSport Racing in their Gulf Radical Cup series, Lechner in the Porsche Challenge and having been part of the Castrol Racing Heroes TV show.

Tommy Erdos - Driver Coach - Brazil

Tommy started his racing career 25 years ago after moving to the UK. In 1990 he won the British Formula Renault Championship, starting an illustrious career as a Professional Racing Driver and Instructor. His achievements are those of a person who has made the grade, not by dint of generous sponsorship or family fortune, but through hard work, determinationand skill. Highlights from a very successful career include Formula Renault Champion 1990, many GT wins in Europe and the USA including 2 LMP2 Class Wins at the LeMans 24 Hours. Tommy recently was appointed as the test driver the Nissan Zeod project.

Fred Jacobs - Fitness Coach - BELgium

Frederic Jacobs has been involved in a form of professional sport since the age of 7, at a young age he was sailing for the UAE National team, achieving multiple National Championship victories and numerous European and World Championship appearances. His drive to improve fitness led to competing in dozens of local and international triathlons over the last 5 years, as well as being health and fitness advisor for both FIA GT championship contenders.

Now working full time for GulfSport Racing Fred previously studied Sport Science with a focus on nutrition, with his knowledge and personal experiences Fred will offer invaluable advice and guidance of how to prepare for the physical and mental demands of Motorsport.

Martin was first on the ground when GulfSport Racing started back in 2004 in Bahrain at the age of 22. He had just left Brookes University in Oxford with a BSc Hons degree in Automotive Engineering Management after gaining a National Diploma in Motorsport Engineering at Brooklands College. 

He competed in over 500 Kart races and in both Saloon and Sports car series in the UK. He also competed in the Gulf Radical Cup and the UAE GT Championship where to this day he holds the lap record of the National Circuit (Class C) in Dubai set in a GulfSport Ginetta G50 HC (essentially a GT4 car). Martin has engineered everything from karts to F1 cars, is an accomplished race driver and highly qualified race engineer, and is very experienced driver coach. Martin is a co-founder and Managing Partner of GulfSport Racing.

Barry Hope - Career Coach - Founder of GULFsport Racing - UK

Barry Hope has competed on both four and two wheels as an FIA and an ACU Race License holder and has a long history of managing championships and drivers starting with the creation of the Dubai Motocross Championship in 1978 when he was Vice Chairman of Dubai's governing body for motorsport (Al Nasr Motor Sports Club). 

He managed his son's early racing career through kart and car racing in the UK and founded Tyrrell Grand Prix Ltd to run an Historic Formula One car (Tyrrell 012) in the European Thoroughbred Grand Prix series. Forming GulfSport Racing in 2004, they created and developed two more championships in the UAE, the Gulf Radical Cup and Formula Gulf. Consequently, Barry has worked with and mentored more than 100 competitors. All three championships are still running!


Phil has 25 years experience in media production, having spent many of those years training and coaching corporate and sporting presenters. Also being a presenter, commentator & radio pundit himself means he has heard to some of the best and of course some of the worse interviews given and its this experience that will allow him to fine tune your interview technique. 

Phil has also raced on 2 and 4 wheels so can relate to what a driver goes through while on track on a tough race weekend, so can coach you as to how to give the best interview possible regardless of how the race went.
