In 7 season 57 drivers from 23 countries have been trained in the Formula Gulf Academy program, here are some of the most successful graduates.

Ed Jones - UK/UAE

Ed joined Formula Gulf back in 2010 when the series was running a series of Testing and Training days at the Yas Marina Circuit and the Dubai Autodrome. Ed went to to win the European F3 Open series and finished 3rd National class of British F3. He then went on to compete in the FIA F3 Euro Series before moving to the USA to compete in Indy Lights with Carlin finishing 3rd in his rookie year and recently became Indy Lights champion in the 2016 season.

"Formula Gulf was the perfect way for me to get behind the wheel of a single seater after coming out of Karting before going off to Europe to start my career. The car is quick and the coaching was amazing, just what I needed to get started!"

Ed Jones - Indycar 2017

Weiron Tan - Malaysia

Weiron Tan came to Formula Gulf after having done a few races in the Asia Formula BMW series. He was looking for that winter training series in preparation before going off to race in the ATS Formula 3 Cup in Germany. Weiron went on to win his first ever single seater race with Formula Gulf, he was picked by the Caterham Junior F1 driver development program. Following his season with Formula Gulf he took 2 wins and 5 podiums in this first season in the ATS Formula 3 Cup. Weiron also moved to the USA and races for Andretti Autosport in the Mazda Pro Series, finishing 2nd in his rookie season.

"I first say Formula Gulf when they did their summer of testing in Malaysia. I had my first car win with Formula Gulf and I had great success since then. The training was really important for my driving to improve in the early days"

Weiron Tan - Pro Mazda 2016

Tejas Hirani - Kenya

Tejas was crowned Formula Gulf Champion in 2015, with a very convincing 8 wins and 13 podiums from 14 races. Tejas moved on from Formula Gulf to compete in the RX Lites World Rally Cross Championship for Olsbergs Racing.

"I already had some great experience off road, and while my focus never really switched away from of the rally and rally cross world Formula Gulf gave me the skills I needed to be able analyse my driving in a way that is never done off road. The coaching was so intense done to the last fraction of a movement on the controls of the car, it gave me fantastic grounding to improve my off road driving".

Tejas Hirani - RX Lites 2016

Natasha Seatter - Malaysia

Natasha is considered by many Asia's fastest lady driver. Competing in 2 seasons of Formula Gulf Natasha won 9 races and took 18 podiums. Coming from the Formula BMW Pacific it was her parents that saw the massive value in the training provided by Formula Gulf compared the very expensive BMW series they were doing. After finishing Formula Gulf Natasha went to to compete in the Chinese Porsche Cup, Malaysian Super Series and GT Asia series in a GT3 Aston Martin.

“Natasha has been racing in Formula car series for three years all over the world. In our experience the Formula Gulf series offered an excellent introduction for developing young aspirants into capable formula drivers…at any price! The key success factor for Formula Gulf is a top quality car in a one make, same set up format that emphasizes driving and racing skills. No car offers any mechanical or aero advantage over any other and an experienced drivers coach shares all the drivers data openly. This allows for rapid progress and very close racing. At 53,000 Dollars this is a ‘must do’ series for any young driver wanting to ‘be the very best by learning from the very best’.” Stewart Seatter - Father
