As a result of the success of its UK summer racing activities last year, GulfSport Racing (UAE) is pleased to announce its plans for 2017. This provides an amazing opportunity for young drivers to continue their professional driver development program with the Formula Gulf Academy team on famous British race circuits in either F1000 or F3 single seater race cars.

Formula 1000 Program

Testing and racing on many of Britain’s best circuits with large grids and varied weather conditions, the summer program provides drivers with the perfect next step after their winter development program in Dubai and Abu Dhabi. They will be fully managed and supported by familiar GulfSport engineers and driver coaches as they test their skills on famous Grand Prix circuits at Silverstone, Brands Hatch, Donington Park, Snetterton and the demanding Oulton Park.

Formula Gulf Champion Champion Cato Poulsen (Denmark) and Vice Champion Omar Gazzaz (KSA) competed successfully in the F1000 class of the hugely popular Monoposto Racing Club Championship in the UK last year where grids sizes averaged 28 cars. Setting several lap records and podium finishes they impressed both themselves and the UK racing community for sure. Read more about their exploits on the Formula Gulf Academy website.

Formula 3 Program

Name an F1 driver who didn't come through F3? Considered as one of the most important junior categories in international single-seater racing for more than five decades, World Champions Jackie Stewart, Emerson Fittipaldi, Ayrton Senna, Mika Häkkinen, Jenson Button, Michael Schumacher, Lewis Hamilton, Sebastian Vettel and Nico Rosberg all learned their trade in F3.

The F3 Program provides young drivers with an extremely cost effective opportunity to test and race an F3 car, starting with 2 days of testing mid-June before heading to the full Silverstone GP circuit for a 3 day race meeting, followed by another 3 day meeting at Snetterton.
